Sassy

Not to much going on
To much snow to do much but yesterday I put Sassy in a makeshift stall
Even though she had a blanket on she was shivering so badly that I was very worried about her specially since she is still not as fat as I like her to he
So I rigged up one of the leantoo with some straw and hay and put a fleece under her blanket
I think she really enjoys been pampered and talks every time I go outside wanting more sweet feed
Pal is pretty close but not right next to her bit I feel sorry for him as she us in heat and teasing him a lot
All the other horses are doing well considering the amount of snow we got
The minis have a path from the round blar of hay to the water and the big horses do fine too

So we are to get lot and lot of snow in a very short time
Got everybody ready
Wood cut, hay out out, tractor plugged in and water filled up
Cooking chicken soup
Pal has settled in good and I took some pictures

Smarts is feeling better with her shoes and pads on

Snow fun

We had lot of snow
Adam out the blade on the tractor and cleared the driveway, the garble road to the mail road and the neighbors drive
He put more hay out and had fun with my SUV spinning around the gravel road

The horses doing fine
Smarts got her hoofs done before it snowed and the ferrier put shoes and pads on her so hopefully she won't be lame no more by the next time he needs to reset them shoes
I also treated her skin condition
Sassy is doing great and is gaining weight
Everybody else doing great
Pal has settled in and sure likes to show off to the girls
He looks happy now :-)

One of my new mares
Dunskin 2 year old tobiano with a nice little pedigree and she was started by the 2 filly training facilities
She was exposed this month to a nice palomino tobiano stallion but if not breed we will have to see who to breed her too

Sadly she is foundered but I already called my ferrier
She has a very nice pedigree and is broke to ride

Pals Legacy

He is back :-)
And he will be standing at stud to outside mares

You can't tell me they don't know each other or forget
He been gone for over 2 years and man was she happy to see him

Busy day

Sometimes it's funny how things work out
Was out delivering horses
Pinch of butterscotch went to her new home
Had a good time going antique store shopping and meet up with hubby for lunch
In the last weeks I been thinking and looking and thinking about who to breed Ghost to since her and my stallion are both Overo I just don't want to risk breeding them to each other
I came up with another option
Ghost was breed 2 times to Pals Legacy and both foals were very nice
I used to own Pals Legacy and seen plenty of his foals to wanting to breed to him
Problem was that he is farther away and his owner has not breed with him in couple years (gotten out of horses)
So stay tuned (like tomorrow) about what I worked out with the owner :-)

$1500 or would trade for the right horse (tall and very well broke, would like gaited horse)

Riding Sassy

To anybody who don't know
Sassy is a 12 year old Paint mare and is 100% blind
This was my first time riding her
When I got her she was a bit thin bit she is looking better
