So ghost got into the dry beet pulp
(edit : no she did not break into the feed shed, maybe I did not word this right-sorry- she was given 1/2 a scoop of dry beet pulp mixed with her normal feed ration by mistake, now the bad states it can be feed dry but may case choking in some horses, kinda bag that a horse feed has to have a disclaimer on it, why you wonder do they need a disclaimer ? So that if choking happens and clearly it does since they feel the need for a disclaimer, yes so you can't sue them-end of edit)
And here is my warning to everybody
The beet pulp got logged in her throat so tight that vet number one could not get it out
The next morning included a long trip to the equine hospital
Here is the bill
First vet $184,50
Equine hospital $757.85
Total vet bill $943,35
Then if you count in $100 for gas
Special feed and electrolytes
And me taking off unpaid two days off and husband one day of unpaid workday for his helping me
Please everybody be very carefully with beetpulp
Below are pictures how my mare looked after 24 hours of not been able to eat or drink- totally dehydrated and a bloody nose from been tubed
